Project Scope: The project consists of the Design and Build of Modjo River Bridge (100 m span) and the construction of its approach road (1.295 km) to link the bridge with the existing Addis Ababa Adama Road. Detailed Services Provided:

  • Design Stage (Phase I) Review and approve the engineering drawings, plan and profile, structural calculations and drawings, geotechnical reports, the hydrological/Hydraulics capacity analysis of the bridge and other minor structures, the topographical survey and other design works of the Contractor. Provide tendering and contract award assistance to ERA, if requested and required. Construction Supervision Stage (Phase II)  Supervise the construction to ensure proper implementation and quality, within the scheduled time, and discharge duties as the “Engineer” of the project including project planning, monitoring, financial control and payment certification ensuring quality and quantity.   Liaise closely with ERA for Right of Way issues and the status of the work including other contract Submit the approved Engineering reports, as- built-drawings and progress report as per the Contract to the Client. administration issues such as insurances/guaranties which the   Contractor is obliged to have the same.   Contract Administration as per the Contract Document.

  • Data collection, topographical surveys, investigation, bridge site selection, structure type selection and the materials investigations, investigations of structures and drainage works, traffic, drainage design,  bridge approach road design, detailed engineering design was done for the selected bridge type, drawings- tender- and contract documents was done·        The design of the Bridge was done with MIDAS civil Structural Design software and RESPONSE 2000 Reinforced Concrete Sectional Analysis Program.
